Secure Communications

Some cases can’t start over ordinary email. If you suspect monitoring, the first contact is the most dangerous step: make it a safe one.

The capability

Contacting us securely

We maintain encrypted contact channels, PGP email and Session messaging, for clients whose situation demands them, and we’ll help you use them correctly even if you never have before. Current keys and IDs are published on our contact page.

What secure handling covers

Secure handling covers encrypted intake over PGP email or Session messaging, guidance on which devices and networks are safe to use for case communication, and secure storage of case material from intake through to the final report. The practical rule is simple: if you think a device or account is being monitored, don’t use it to research or contact an investigator. Use a device the other party has never had access to: a work computer, a library terminal, a trusted friend’s phone.

What you receive

Encrypted intake handled correctly from the first message, clear guidance on which devices and networks are safe to use, and secure storage of everything you send us through to the final report.

When it fits

Clients leaving a controlling relationship, employees documenting workplace misconduct, executives handling a sensitive dispute: anyone whose case is only safe if the other side doesn’t see it coming.

Not every case starts with a compromised device. Where a location or device itself is the concern, not how to reach us safely, TSCM and Counter-Surveillance is the more direct starting point.
