Insurance and Claims Investigations

In the right place, at the right time. The question in every claim is the same: does the evidence match what’s been reported?

The capability

We handle motor vehicle injury, workplace injury and property damage claims. In each case the question is the same: does the evidence match the claim?

What we look for

Red flags include inconsistencies in the claimant’s account, a pattern of prior similar claims, and documentation that doesn’t hold together under scrutiny. Evidence we gather (surveillance footage, activity documentation, background findings) feeds directly into settlement negotiations alongside medical and police reports. Accident benefits are assessed independent of fault, so a thorough investigation protects both a fair payout and against a fraudulent one.

Seasonal and activity-based claims

Injury claims tied to seasonal sporting activity (skiing, cycling, water sports and similar) carry their own documentation challenges: insurers often argue that continued high-risk activity undercuts the claim. We document actual activity level and physical capability against what’s been reported, using surveillance, interviews and, where useful, drone or GPS-based tracking.

What you receive

Surveillance footage, activity documentation and background findings, delivered as a written report built to sit alongside the medical and police reports already in the claim file.

When it fits

Motor vehicle, property, and seasonal or activity-based claims, verified against what has actually been reported.

Where a claim runs through Ontario’s workplace insurance system specifically, that process carries its own standards of proof: our WSIB Investigations page covers it in the depth that system requires, and that’s the page to start from instead.
