Asked before almost every case.
Straight answers to the questions clients bring us: confidentiality, cost, evidence, and how an investigation actually runs. If yours isn’t here, the consultation is free.
Working with us
Is my consultation confidential?
Completely. Initial consultations are free and confidential, and nothing is recorded or retained unless you decide to proceed. For sensitive situations we also offer secure and anonymous contact channels.
Do I have to come to your office?
No. Most cases are scoped and run entirely by phone, email or secure channel. If you’d rather meet in person, we’ll arrange something discreet: our office, or somewhere you’re comfortable.
Where is your office?
Our head office is in Hamilton, Ontario. We cover the entire province through local investigators, not a fixed roster of branch offices; the full list of regions is on our locations page.
Is hiring a private investigator legal in Ontario?
Yes. Private investigation is a licensed profession in Ontario under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA). Our agency licence is #30000432, and every investigator we field is individually licensed. What matters legally is how the work is done: we only use lawful, admissible methods.
Cost and process
How much does an investigation cost?
It depends on scope, which is why every case starts with a free consultation and a written agreement covering cost before any work begins. We accept e-transfer, credit card and cryptocurrency.
How long does an investigation take?
Scope decides it. Simple locates often resolve in weeks; surveillance runs for the period agreed in your scope; complex fraud or forensics files can take longer. We give you a realistic timeline before work begins, and tell you if it changes.
Will I get updates during the investigation?
Yes, on the schedule you choose. Some clients want a call after every surveillance shift; others want nothing until the final report. Both are fine.
What do I receive at the end?
A complete evidence package: a written report formatted for its end use, detailed logs, and timestamped media. If the case is headed to court, everything is documented to be admissible.
Evidence and discretion
Can your evidence be used in court?
Yes. That’s the standard we work to. Every method we use is chosen for legal admissibility, and findings are documented so they stand up under cross-examination. We work directly with your lawyer when requested.
Will the subject know they’re being investigated?
No. Covert work is only useful if it stays covert. Our investigators are trained and equipped to observe without being detected, and we don’t take on work we can’t do discreetly.
Can you guarantee a result?
No, and you should be wary of any investigator who says otherwise. We guarantee the quality of the process: licensed investigators, lawful methods, honest reporting. What the evidence shows is what it shows.
Getting started
How do I contact you securely?
Use the safe-contact section of our contact page: we maintain PGP-encrypted email and Session messaging, and we’ll help you use them. If you think a device is being monitored, contact us from a device the other party has never had access to.
End of brief
Ask us the question directly.
The consultation is free. No obligation, nothing recorded or retained unless you proceed, and secure channels if the question itself is sensitive.
